Five Minute Friday - Real

Real.
For real?
That is the prompt for Five Minute Friday.
Stop it.
Is all the world coming together to send me a message?
Folks, it just got real.  What is real is that we don’t have time to be messing around with stuff that isn’t meaningful, and powerful, and important.  We no longer have the option to play – unless playing is your real and important.  Mothers, teachers, artists – you keep playing.  Dreamers keep dreaming – but let’s start moving at the same time.  Let’s start making these dreams into realities.  How?  Yeah, I don’t have that part yet.  It’s coming.  I’m not just leaving that part out.  But it is go time.  For real.  What is it that you wish was real in your world?  Let’s make it happen.

Five Minute Friday is five minutes of writing from the heart.  Without worrying about editing, and without fear.  Just write.  Join us at http://katemotaung.com/five-minute-friday/

  1. Yes! Love this: "Dreamers keep dreaming - but let's start moving at the same time."

Very concise but purposeful - the truth is sometimes just that simple.

    I'm your FMF neighbor!

    1. Thank you Liz! It was a bit of a ramble - but it came from the heart.

  2. I too have thought and said a similar statement: "We know what's wrong, now what can we do to fix it?" Here's my take on it. It starts with one. Each one of us has a purpose. We each have a passion flowing through our veins that energizes our thoughts and behaviors. It makes our voice thunderous when we speak about it. It's that passion, if we allow it, that will change the world. Mine is domestic violence. But there are so many passions that need to be heard. Make a difference by using your voice, take action. Have an elderly neighbor who can't get to the store? Take them. Does a co-worker need a shoulder to cry on? Offer it. Don't be afraid to step out in faith and trust the Lord. Live it, breathe it, speak it and let God guide every. single. step.
